Booking & Payment - All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
A 50% deposit is required to secure your stay, with the balance due 7 days prior to arrival.
Bookings made within 30 days must be paid in full at the time of reservation. Once payment is received, a confirmation and arrival guide will be emailed to you.

Bond / Security Deposit - A refundable security bond may be held prior to arrival to cover any damages, missing items, or additional cleaning. The bond is refunded within 3 business days of your departure, once the lodge has been inspected and cleared. A pre-authorisation of AUD 500.00 is held on 1 day(s) before arrival and returned within 3 day(s) after departure.

Cancellations - We understand that plans can change. Cancellations must be made in writing.

• 100% of paid prepayments refundable when canceled 42 day(s) before arrival or earlier.

• 50% of paid prepayments refundable when canceled 21 day(s) before arrival or earlier.

• 0% refundable if canceled after.

We recommend taking out travel insurance for added peace of mind.

Check-In & Check-Out - Check-in time is from 2:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM.
Early check-in or late check-out may be possible with prior arrangement.
Please refer to your guest information pack for the departure checklist before leaving the property.

House Rules - To ensure a pleasant stay for all guests:

• Our lodges are strictly non-smoking indoors.

• Pets are not permitted unless approved in writing.

• The number of guests must not exceed the confirmed booking.

• Events, parties, or gatherings require prior approval.

• Please report any breakages or maintenance issues promptly.

Liability & Responsibility - Guests occupy the property at their own risk. Kangaroo Island Stays and the property owners accept no responsibility for injury, loss, or damage to guests or their belongings. Guests agree to indemnify the owners against any claims arising from their stay.

Force Majeure - We cannot be held responsible for delays or cancellations due to events beyond our control — such as severe weather, transport issues, or natural disasters.

Environmental Care - Our lodges are designed with sustainability in mind.
Please help us protect this remarkable island by:

• Conserving water and electricity

• Recycling and disposing of waste responsibly

• Respecting local wildlife and natural surroundings

Caretaker Access - Our caretakers may enter the property for maintenance or inspection with reasonable notice — or immediately in case of emergency.

Breach of Terms - Failure to follow these Terms & Conditions may result in termination of your stay without refund, and additional charges may apply for damages or excessive cleaning.

Governing Law - These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of South Australia, and any disputes will be handled within the state’s jurisdiction.
