Our private lodges are located on the tranquil north-west coast of Kangaroo Island, South Australia — offering sweeping ocean views, abundant wildlife, and total privacy.
Each property is positioned to make the most of the island’s natural beauty, with easy access to nearby attractions, beaches, and national parks.

You can reach Kangaroo Island by:

• Air – 40-minute flight from Adelaide to Kingscote Airport.

• Sea – 45-minute ferry ride from Cape Jervis to Penneshaw (plus a 1 hr 30 min scenic drive to the lodges).

We’ll provide a detailed arrival guide once your booking is confirmed.

Check-in is from 2:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM.
If you wish to arrive earlier or depart later, please contact us in advance — we’ll do our best to accommodate your request when possible.

How can I make a booking?

Bookings can be made directly through our website or by contacting us via email at bookings@kangarooislandstays.com.au.
A 50% deposit is required to secure your stay, with the balance due 7 days prior to arrival.

Yes — a refundable security bond may be held prior to your stay. This covers any damages, missing items, or additional cleaning if needed. The bond is refunded within 3 business days after departure once the property is inspected.

We understand that plans can change. Cancellations must be made in writing.

• 100% of paid prepayments refundable when canceled 42 day(s) before arrival or earlier.

• 50% of paid prepayments refundable when canceled 21 day(s) before arrival or earlier.

• 0% refundable if canceled after.

We recommend taking out travel insurance for added peace of mind.

Our lodges are pet-free to protect local wildlife and maintain a peaceful environment. Service animals may be permitted with prior written approval.

Yes — complimentary Wi-Fi is available at Eagles Nest lodge only at this stage. Mobile reception can vary depending on your provider, but most areas have good 4G coverage.

All lodges include:

• Fully equipped kitchens with quality cookware

• Fresh bed linen, bath and beach towels

• Selection of teas, coffee, and pantry essentials

• Laundry facilities and eco-friendly cleaning products

• Wood-burning heater (with wood supplied in cooler months)

Our lodges are designed for relaxation and small gatherings of registered guests only. If you’d like to host a photo shoot, retreat, or special event, please contact us for approval before booking.

For longer stays, mid-stay cleans can be arranged upon request (fees apply). All lodges are professionally cleaned before and after each booking.
