Getting to Kangaroo Island

Regional Express (REX) provides regular daily services to Kangaroo Island www.rex.com.au.  Thirty-minute flights operate between the main terminal at Adelaide Airport and Kangaroo Island airport.  Kangaroo Island Airport is a convenient 5km from Cygnet River and 14km from Kingscote.

By Sea

Kangaroo Island Sealink operates from Cape Jervis, two hours south of Adelaide to Penneshaw. Bring your vehicle or hire?

You can bring your vehicle from the mainland by ferry or you can hire a vehicle from Kingscote, Penneshaw or the airport.  With care, you can enjoy all the island has to offer in a conventional vehicle, however some visitors prefer the comfort of a four-wheel drive on the unsealed roads. www.budgetki.com

NOTE if you are hiring a vehicle from the mainland, please check with your hire company as to their policies regarding KI as some have restrictions for vehicles driven on the island.
